Isla De Ometepe - Nicaragua

Nicaragua has a huge lake with a pair of volcanoes that sit in the middle and form a twin peaked island. It's got lots of climbing and hiking available and a slow paced quiet atmosphere. Some adventurous people climb to the top of the volcanos, but Nicole and I were content to go on a hike to a waterfall. It was just difficult enough without being impossible. Here are the pictures.

This is a man-made freshwater swimming hole that was pretty nice.

This was the toughest part of the hike. You had to either climb up the mudslide, or in the stream. The stream proved to be much easier.
Pictures can't really show how tall it was. Probably like eight stories or so.

Pretty birdie.
