We've crossed through the northern border of Costa Rica into Nicaragua. The first stop is this really great surfing town called San Juan Del Sur. It has a more authentic feel than anything we saw in Costa Rica. The buildings are older and their isn't as much infrastructure, but I feel like that's a good thing. Yet there is still plenty of evidence of growing foreign investment and settling ex-patriots. It felt like a nice balance.
My skills are such that I can stand up on a surfboard, but I still can't make myself look cool.
